Dublin Earns 3 Awards for Government Communication Excellence

The City of Dublin’s Communications & Public Information team is honored to have received three City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA) awards from the group’s national conference in Orlando, Florida.

Out of more than 875 entries across 38 categories, Dublin earned a first-place Savvy award and two second-place Silver Circle awards at the 2023 Savvy Awards competition. The awards, presented Sept. 7, recognize effective city, county, agency or district professionals who have creatively planned and carried out successful innovations in communications and marketing.

The City received first place for its Dublin Park Madness campaign, an Instagram voting contest to crown the community’s favorite park in a March Madness-style bracket. It was rewarding to see our residents engage with this fun campaign while showcasing the beauty of Dublin’s more than 60 parks and open spaces. The Silver Circle awards recognized the City’s communications plan for the 2022 Riverside Celebration, a grand opening of The Dublin Link bridge and Riverside Crossing Park, and its creativity with Dublin Talent Connect, a hiring event through the City’s Economic Development Division to benefit Dublin’s workforce.

“This was easily one of my favorite projects and one that I thought would be fantastic to see replicated across communities in the United States,” notes the judge for the Resident Participation category in response to the Dublin Park Madness campaign. “The creativity behind this is through the roof and the tie-in to March Madness makes it timely and relevant…”

“We are humbled to receive these awards from our peers in the government communication field,” says Director of Communications & Public Information Lindsay Weisenauer. “This validation of our team’s hard work inspires us to continue connecting our residents, businesses and visitors with the information they need to be engaged with and proud of their community.”
